Recipe Roulette is a mobile app that helps users make the most of their available ingredients by suggesting creative, personalized recipes. By simply inputting leftover ingredients, users receive tailored meal ideas, reducing food waste and making cooking more convenient and sustainable. The app enhances meal planning through an intuitive interface, smart recommendations, and a fun, engaging experience that encourages culinary exploration.

Project Background

In my recent exploration with cooking, I struggle with recipe ideas and how to best make use of leftover ingredients. So I designed an application that allows a user to input ingredients they have and look at recipes that include their targeted ingredient. The purpose of the application is to make it easier for users to explore new recipes that are tailored to their needs and minimize food waste.

The focus for this app was placed on simplicity and visual appeal to transform cooking challenges into an enjoyable and rewarding experience, while also promoting sustainability through reduced food waste.

Final branding and assets designed for the app, in order to keep the design system consistent across all pages. Colors are relaxing to the eye, focusing on a neutral feel with greens to emphasize sustainability and the healthy choices users are incentivized to make while using the app.
